This utility is great. If you want to keep a novice user from snooping around your computer, simply hide the desktop and taskbar. Many many more useful features.
 i downloaded it and it gave me a trojan
 I ran the install and during the install I got a virus alert (trojan). I finished the install, but when I clicked the link, the exe file couldn\'t be found. So I can\'t run this application and have now uninstalled it.
This software is really very cool!Simple, work, easy, without any bullshit like unneedful options etc. and it's free of charge!10/10

 The download and installation wwent smoothly, but when starting the program it locks up. Multiple tries have not succeeded in getting it running. Disappointing.

 Good but... Very close to providing what I need, aside from three problems.
First, I'm not sure I like that you need to specify what windows *not* to hide. There are waaaaay too many of those in my case; I would prefer to specify the 2 or 3 windows I *do* want to hide.
Second, the "free" version comes with a lot of features disabled until you pay. That's normally fine... except that in this case so many features are disabled that I can't test it enough to see if I want to purchase it!
Finally, it hides the windows just fine, but it ...

 Winhider review from Chris Winhider works well in itself. The reason that I would not use it this time is that I was trying to find a way to hide a given DOS window that repeatedly opened when trying to get an old application to run on windows xp. This window has differing names and I wanted something to look for a process name rather than a window title in order to control its behaviour. Also, whitelists so that the user doesn't have to see winhider in action would be good too.
Taskbar space saver Good idea for saving taskbar space.
 Had trouble with scrolling the user interface The software seemed fairly functional in general but I did have a problem scrolling to the bottom of the list of visible system tray objects (I have a lot of them obviously). On scrolling to the bottom of the list the software would immediately jump back to the top and therefore I could not select these items. I had to resize the window in order to do this. I use Windows XP Home, with SP2 installed.
